On 15 January LUXOTTICA’s plant in Sedico was launched and provided with the Revolution platform which manages all the After Sales processes.
The project uses the NFC technology to trace the glasses and an operator interface on Windows 8 Tablet which allows to manage and monitor all the operations carried out during the processes of incoming goods, quality control, repair and packaging.
The After Sales department, completely renewed also in layout, includes more than 70 operators who work on Tablet through an Windows 8 App and more or less 20 operators who carry out the goods receiving tasks using the Web App from the PC.
The introduction of the new technologies and of the REvolution, platform, integrated with the corporate ERP (SAP) in real time, allows to increase the efficiency levels and the automation of numerous tasks which were previously carried out manually. Moreover the compete traceability of the repair/control activities allows to increase the quality of the service to the client.
Thanks to the innovative and technological aspects this project is nominated to the all’RFiD Journal Awards 2015 which will be awarded in April in San Diego (CA) during the RFID Journal LIVE! 2015 where Alfaproject.net and LUXOTTICA are invited to present the project.
