Project Description
The project was developed in order to grant certification of delivery at the IVECO service network worldwide.
Mobile Application in support of logistics and traceability carried towards Extended Enterprise. It allows the integration and delivery real-time confirmation from the recipient of the product without any impact on systems and processes of the logistics operator and with no need to provide end-points of technology and/or dedicated device and with minimum economic and managing impact. Chance to use PoD Mobile also for the opening and management of Claim and for the processes of Reverse Logistics
Requirements:
- Certification of delivery
- Real-time verification and certification of logistics SLA compliance
Activities:
- Analysis of current procedures for tracing and recording of logistics activities
- Mapping of different target users involved
- Identification of a methodology for tracking not reliant to device and technology tools
- Design of an application model
Results:
- Using the system PoD Mobile to track and verify daily shipping spare parts worldwide
- Mobile application for smartphones that can certify they have been delivered by reading QR Code placed on the delivery note or on one of the packages
